Community Service

Community Service comprises varied efforts that members make, sometimes in conjunction with others, to improve the quality of life of those who live within this club’s locality or municipality. In the more than 100 years since the founding of the Rotary Club of Birmingham, its members have played prominent, if not dominant, roles in providing leadership to such civic enterprises as the local Red Cross, Community Chest/United Way, and the Chamber of Commerce (now the Birmingham Business Alliance). The club itself has been directly involved in a number of community projects, including, most recently, the building of the Rotary Trail, a transformational Centennial legacy gift to the City of Birmingham from the members of this club. Use the links below to read more about some of our current and recent community service projects:
