BCS Students Engage in Mock Interviews with Rotarians as part of CAMP’s Merit Scholars Program
Rotarians conduct mock interviews with CAMP students.
On Wednesday, February 25th, the Rotary Club of Birmingham (RCB) welcomed Birmingham City Schools juniors selected as CAMP (College Admissions Made Possible) Merit Scholars to The Harbert Center for mock interviews with Rotarian volunteers. The experience is designed to help students prepare for interactions as they approach college and employment opportunities after high school. The students practiced their table etiquette skills with Rotary members during a lunch program featuring Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau President & CEO Dan Williams. CAMP’s ACT Prep Program is underwritten by a grant from the RCB Foundation.
Thanks to the following Rotarians for volunteering their time: David Arias, Blair Badham, Lydia Barnett, Brooke Battle, Rebecca Beers, Don Carmichael, Fred Elliott, Art Freeman, Mark Froehlich, Brantley Fry, Tom Gester, Eric Jack, Jennifer Jaquess, Libby Lassiter, Toni Leeth, Gordon Martin, LeNá McDonald, George Medlock, Fred Nunnelley, Randy Pittman, David Proctor, Jonathan Raulston, Barbara Royal, Dawn Sharff, Libba Vaughan, Lee Walthall & Frank Young.
We appreciate RCB VP of Vocational Service Alison Grizzle for overseeing our partnership with CAMP and other vocational service activities this year.
