Meghann Bridgeman Shares Vision for Growing Alabama's Creative Economy

This week, the Rotary Club of Birmingham (RCB) welcomed Meghann Bridgeman, Chief Entertainment Officer for the Alabama Entertainment Office, for a presentation on the state's efforts to grow Alabama's film, television, music, and entertainment industries. Bridgeman outlined the office's mission to promote Alabama as a destination for entertainment productions, administer production incentives, and assist companies with filming locations across the state.

Bridgeman highlighted Alabama's incentive programs for film and music productions, which encourage investment, job creation, and the use of Alabama-based talent. She also shared the office's priorities, including increasing production spending caps, attracting more high-quality productions, expanding incentives and workforce development, and exploring new revenue opportunities to strengthen Alabama's entertainment industry.

Bio for Meghann Bridgeman

Meghann Bridgeman is the Chief Entertainment Officer for the Alabama Entertainment Office, where she leads the state’s film, television, music, and entertainment industry growth strategy. She previously led Create Birmingham and Film Birmingham and has held numerous executive roles in arts and workforce development. Meghann holds an MBA from SMU’s Cox School of Business and a master’s in arts administration from SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts.
