During the October 6th Rotary Club of Birmingham meeting, World Water Summit Chair Julia Phelps awarded the distinction of Paul Harris Fellow to photographer Art Meripol. He was recognized for his contributions serving as judge of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Rotary action group's photo and video contest.

"We had 192 photos submitted to our photo contest this year from all around the world-South America, Central America, Africa, Asia, the United States, Canada. We also had 15 videos submitted," Phelps shared. "Naming Art a Paul Harris Fellow was a small token of what we could do in order to say thank you and to recognize him for his efforts."
