RCB Scholarship Recipient Jaidynn Perkins-Martin Shares Success at Yale

The Rotary Club of Birmingham (RCB) welcomed 2023 RCB Foundation Scholarship Recipient Jaidynn Perkins-Martin to attend a recent meeting. The Woodlawn High School graduate thanked Rotarians for supporting her academic endeavors. She shared an update on her success as a freshman at Yale University, where she studies ethics, politics and economics. She also highlighted her engagement as a member of the Yale volleyball team, celebrating the team winning the Ivy League Conference 16-0 and gaining entrance into the NCAA tournament.

“I want to thank the Rotary Club for choosing me as a scholarship recipient,” Perkins-Martin said. “I can’t wait to see what the rest of the school year holds.”

Scholarship Chair Roman Gary congratulated Perkins-Martin and announced applications for 2024 scholarships will open soon. Gary recognized 2024 Scholarship Committee members, including Stephanie Mays, Molly Clinton, Bolaji Kukoyi, Morgan Cole, DeLynn Zell and Kecia Thomas.
