Rotarians Renew Support for PreSchool Education in Birmingham City Schools

The Rotary Club of Birmingham has been committed to supporting preschool learning in Birmingham City Schools for over 20 years through our Preschool Learning Initiative, a partnership with United Way's SuccessBySix. RCB has invested over $1 million to date, with a major focus on reading readiness.

Rotarians volunteered to read to students at Arrington, Avondale, Barrett, and Brown Elementary Schools on September 18th as part of the Rotary Reads program. Over the course of the school year, RCB volunteers will visit every Pre-K classroom in all BCS elementary schools. We appreciate Rotarians Leah Bigbee, Mary Boehm, Rob Couch, George Medlock, Colin Moorhouse, Alan Rogers, Bruce Rogers, and Anne Yuengert for serving as readers this month!
