Rotary Hosts CAMP’s Birmingham Merit Scholars As They Kick Off the Year

Birmingham Merit Scholars students received certificates commemorating their selection for the program.

On Tuesday, October 20th, the Rotary Club of Birmingham (RCB) welcomed Birmingham City Schools Juniors participating in the College Admissions Made Possible (CAMP) Birmingham Merit Scholars program and their families to The Harbert Center for an induction ceremony to kick off the program, which is underwritten by the RCB Foundation.

RCB members are committed to vocational service, which involves serving others through one’s profession, practicing high ethical standards and promoting vocational relationships. Rotarians, as business leaders, share skills and expertise through their vocations and inspire others in the process.

Thanks to VP of Vocational Service LeNá McDonald, President Nancy Godecke, RCB and CAMP staff for hosting a great evening for these young people. We look forward to welcoming the students back to engage in mock interview sessions with Rotarians in February.
