Rotary Teams up with Rotaract, Junior League and Sleep in Heavenly Peace to Build Beds for Kids in Need

Members of the Rotary Club of Birmingham (RCB) and their families recently teamed up with the Rotaract Club of Birmingham and the Junior League of Birmingham to build beds for those in need through Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Thanks to Rotarians Nancy Goedecke , Eric Jack, David Killion, Gordon Martin, Kennon Walthall, Katrina Watson, Greg Womack and staff members Lora Blalock and June Clark for joining the effort to assemble beds. Over 100 volunteers participated in the project, building 50 beds that will be delivered with mattresses, pillows and bedding to children in our local community.  

We appreciate the RCB Foundation’s approval of a grant to support the project and RCB VP of Community Service Katrina Watson’s work to oversee RCB’s involvement in the project.
