RCB Honors 2025-26 President Jeff Stone

RCB Past President Jeff Stone thanks RCB members for a tremendous year

During the June 24th meeting, Rotary Club of Birmingham (RCB) Past President Bruce Rogers recognized President Jeff Stone for an incredible year of leadership and service, presenting him with the Past President's pin and a humorous tribute.

President Stone began the club’s 113th year with renewed focus on member engagement and building on the club’s strengths, while adopting a more relaxed dress code at meetings. He led meetings with the dry wit, efficiency and optimization expected from an accomplished engineer. He used the year to highlight America’s 250th birthday, often focusing on George Washington’s remarkable leadership during period leading up to the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. Rogers drew attention to similarities between the two presidents and presented a satirical portrait of President Stone in the style of a famous portrait of Washington.

“Much like George Washington, you’ve left our Rotary Club stronger and better in every way,” Rogers said. “We are honoring you and your wonderful leadership with an additional donation to support the Rotary Trail Eastern Gateway project. Now, my friend, I welcome you to another special club – the Past President’s Club.”

RCB members showed their appreciation to President Stone with a standing ovation and community singers joined in a rousing rendition of “America the Beautiful” as a surprise tribute to his leadership.

The Rotary Club of Birmingham greatly appreciates President Stone’s investment of time and dedicated service to leading the Rotary Club of Birmingham under the motto of Service Above Self.
