Rotary Club of Birmingham Completes Special Projects to Commemorate Rotary Trail’s 10th AnnIVERSARY

Rotary is completing special projects to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Rotary Trail

The Rotary Club of Birmingham (RCB) developed Rotary Trail as its centennial gift to the City of Birmingham in 2016. Over the past decade, we have worked in public-private partnership with the city to maintain the park. The Rotary Club of Birmingham Foundation provides funding to support a caretaker for Rotary Trail who oversees weekly landscape services provided by Blackjack Horticulture, sprinkler maintenance and upgrades, plant replacement, waste removal, repairs and other needs as they arise.

To commemorate the trail's 10th anniversary, RCB is completing special projects to sustain the vitality and beauty of the trail. We recently installed new waste receptacles, refreshed crushed stone and replaced non-thriving plants throughout the trail. We also created a flagstone path at 23rd St. where a natural walkway had formed and repaired damaged sections of fencing.

Thanks to our partners at Blackjack Horticulture, O. Jay Fence Company and Birmingham Parks & Rec for helping to keep the trail looking its best!
